Adenosquamous carcinoma ; Infiltrative syringomatous adenoma ; Syringomatous squamous tumor. Low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma LGASC of the breast is exceedingly uncommon, and it is characterized by well-developed gland formation mixed with solid nests of squamous cells in a spindle cell background. Such a variability of incidence is due to a plethora of terminologies used by different authors to designate these tumors.
Low-grade adenosquamous LGAS carcinoma is rare morphological variant of metaplastic breast carcinoma. Only few cases have been reported in the literature so far. We reported a case of LGAS carcinoma in years-old female who presented with huge lump breast since 6 months.
Low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma of the breast is an uncommon neoplasm of uncertain pathogenesis, clinical behavior, and malignant potential. This report describes the clinical and pathologic features of 32 cases of low-grade adenosquamous carcinoma. All patients presented with palpable tumors ranging from 0. Origin from an intraductal papillary tumor was found in 12 cases, including three with adenomyoepitheliomatous features.
Adenosquamous carcinoma of the breast is a rare form of metaplastic breast carcinoma. We report such a case in a 19 years old female. Case notes and histopathology were reviewed.
